If it's your first time, we recommend arriving 20 to 30 minutes early. That will give you enough time to park, grab some complimentary coffee or hot tea and refreshments, check your child in (if relevant), and find a seat before the service begins. We kick off the service promptly at 10:30 a.m. with a live band and time of worship.
Expect to be loved. God loves us, we love Him, and we seek to love others the same way He loves us. Expect to hear from God and meet with God. Even more than we desire to meet with Him, He desires to meet with us and reveal Himself to us.
Our worship team and live band typically open with a few upbeat songs and then transition to more reflective, worshipful pieces. You don't have to sing if you don't want to, but we project the lyrics so you can follow along. This portion of the service lasts about 15 to 20 minutes.
Next come announcements about important events and activities you are invited to join. Then tithes and offerings are presented as an act of worship; this is for our members and regular attendees. (You are our guest and should feel no obligation or expectation to give. )
The pastor will share a message from God's Word that has practical implications for daily living. You can pick up a paper from the Welcome Center to take notes, if you like.
At the conclusion of the worship experience each week, we offer communion and prayer teams available to pray personally with anyone who so desires.
If you have further questions about our services, feel free to call the church office—(540) 886-2015—Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
About 1.5 hours. We currently offer one service at 10:30 a.m. (A nursery and children's ministry programs are offered during this time as well.)
It's up to you! Some people dress casually, and others prefer to dress up (but hardly anyone ever wears a suit and tie!). It doesn't matter to us. Come as you are, and come comfortable.
We have special parking for our new guests on the upper level near the front entrance, facing I-64. If those spots are full, feel free to park in any of our other parking areas and use the shuttle service if you like!
As a guest, we encourage you to fill out a Connection Card. You can find one in the back seat pockets and return it to the Welcome Center in the main foyer. Or scan the QR code to fill out a digital Connection Card. This helps us to know you visited and to stay in communication. We hope you will choose to worship with us again!
We have childcare for ages 0–2 and children's programs for 2s and 3s, 4s and 5s, as well as grades K through 5th. Check them out here!
New International Version (NIV) is primarily referenced from the pulpit, but all translations are welcome and valid.
