Dr. Andrew Williams
Andrew serves as the Lead Pastor at Church on the Hill, where he’s passionate about helping people follow Jesus in everyday life.
He’s spent over 20 years in ministry, serving churches in both Virginia and Pennsylvania, and has also supported other pastors through denominational leadership roles at the district and national level. These experiences have shaped a pastoral heart that values both the local church and the wider body of Christ.
Alongside his ministry, Andrew has taught theology, biblical studies, and church history in universities and seminaries. He holds a Ph.D. from Bangor University (Wales, U.K.) and an M.A. from Regent University’s School of Divinity, and he currently serves as a St. Basil Fellow with the Center for Pastor Theologians. He’s also had the opportunity to present his research at places like Yale Divinity School. Still, his focus has always been on how thoughtful faith can strengthen everyday discipleship and the life of the church.
More than anything, Andrew enjoys being a husband and dad. He married his high-school sweetheart, Anna, and together they’re raising three amazing kids: Adelaide, Audrey, and Anderson. When he’s not pastoring or writing, you’ll probably find him hiking local trails, trying a new coffee shop with Anna, or quoting The Office more than he should.
